2. Boyne Valley Tour

4. The Cooley Peninsula, 90 minutes away

  • Dept  9am - 6pm return.
  • The Cooley Peninsula is one of the more overlooked day trips. There is plenty of things to see and do here and there is a clatter of great places to eat .
  • Depending on whether or not you want to include a hike in your trip, here is a suggested itinerary.
  • * Pick a walk (options - Ravensdale Forest Walk, Annaloughan Loop Walk or the Slieve Foye Loop)
  • * Spin into town for breakfast/lunch  ( Liberty Cafe and Ruby Ellens are solid options)
  • * Take a tour of the castle or rent a bike and spin along the Carlingford Greenway

5. The Mourne Mountains,  2 hr drive with comfort stop

  • One of the most impressive places to visit by passenger van are the Mourne Mountains in County Down.
  • The itinerary can be adjusted to suit guests as some may want more walking than others.
  • The trip will take us to Tollymore Forest Park (picture) and then head for lunch in Newcastle followed by a stroll on the beach.
  • If guests fancy a hike , there are heaps of Mourne Mountain walks to tackle like the Slieve Donard hike.
  • This trio can be tailored to suit the guests requirements.

6. Ring of Gullion and Newry 1 and 1/2 hours

  • One of the best day trips thats regularly overlooked is the that takes in both the Ring of Gullion and a glorious corner of Rostrevor.
  • We will start the road trip with the Slieve Gullion Drive or walk, depending on how you are feeling ( steep walk). Head into nearby Gather And Brew after for a bite to eat.
  • When everybody is ready we will depsrt to Kilbroney Park and Cloughmore Stone.
  • If you are looking for a day tour with plenty of walks , this one is hard to beat.
